As a Master Florist with years of experience, I am always keen to continue educating myself and to pass on the designs and creative techniques I’ve learned. I am a qualified teacher of floristry in further education and an experienced demonstrator and I run a series of workshops throughout the year here at my boutique flower shop in Wokingham, Berkshire. We can also arrange flower arranging at your home in Bracknell, Wokingham, Berkshire.

Whether you are looking to master the technique of the hand-tied bouquet, looking for inspiration for party flowers or trying your hand at Christmas designs, we have a workshop to inspire you. It is also possible for us to even come to your home to run a workshop. We offer sessions for individuals or small groups up to eight bespoke and tailored to suit your group. From our boutique flower shop in Wokingham, we can provide a range of different courses suitable for beginners and the more experienced. The warm and friendly atmosphere will make you feel at ease and will bring out your creative side. You will be amazed at what you can achieve with a little expert guidance. If you prefer Kate can come to your club or private home within Berkshire to run one of her fabulously creative workshops.

Flower Arrangements For The Home – This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate. This popular course is designed to give you confidence to make table centres, arrange flowers in a vase, make hand ties and some quick and easy contemporary designs, easy to replicate and experiment at home. We will outline some basic rules and techniques for you to create eye-catching designs for your home. This course is scheduled monthly – with each month themed differently. So if you’ve joined us on the course before, please come back – no two courses are ever the same. The course lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours. All materials and light refreshments are supplied.
Wedding Flowers
Suitable for beginners who love flowers, or brides who would like to create their own wedding flowers. An intensive course where you will learn how to make a simple bridal bouquet, a buttonhole/corsage and a table centre. Ideas for the reception and ceremony will be discussed including working with a theme and seasonal flowers. The principles of hand tying and wiring will be covered.
The course lasts for approximately 3.5 hours.
Ambitious Flower Arrangers
For intermediates. Build on the skills you have already learned and be a little more ambitious. Learn how to think outside the box and create arrangements for your home that are a little out of the ordinary. A creative and fun course.
The course runs for 2.5 hours.
Bespoke Courses
If you have a group of friends or colleagues ideal for hen parties, special celebrations, or floristry colleagues that would like a tailor-made course to suit individual requirements, or would like a one to one session, please contact us directly.
Team Building
This is a really popular and companies come back each year, we can come to you or smaller groups can attend at the shop. Please contact Kate directly if you would like to organise a bespoke team building event.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available for any amount – so if you would like to gift the total cost of a course but would like the recipient to choose a course and a date.
Each course needs a minimum of 3 people to run. If there are less than 3 people booked onto the course we reserve the right to cancel – if you are unable to transfer your booking to another course/date a full refund will be given. Full payment for all courses is required in advance.
Christmas Table Centres/ Mantel designs. Would you like to stun your guests on Christmas Day with a beautiful seasonal table centre or mantel design? Come along to our Christmas course and test your skills (for beginners and intermediates). Using seasonal plant materials, flowers, fruits and glitter. You will take home your finished design and have a lovely coffee and treat!
The course lasts for 2.5 hours.
Christmas Wreath Making. Make beautiful seasonal fresh foliage wreaths with traditional dried fruit, fir cones, cinnamon and all the usual trimmings!! for your front door at Christmas. Back by popular demand, every year our pupils cannot believe that they have made the creations they take home. You will take home your finished design and have a lovely coffee and treat!
The course lasts for 21/2 to 3 hours depending on design made.
